Today, the Minister of Information and Communication Technology, hosted a mission from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) headed by Miss Kalton Hassan, the Country Officer, accompanied by Millicent Ndollo, Operation Analyst, Mr. Sammy Fwaga, M&E Specialist, and Sannah Bakadi, Advisory Department.The minister expressed his compliments and gratitude to the mission for taking the initiative to visit the ministry in order to get first-hand information on the ongoing projects and the work of the ministry.
The mission also visited the Somaliland Innovation Zone (SIZ), which is an initiative of the Ministry of ICT, and commended the Ministry for the good job done in taking these initiatives to foster innovation and helping technology startups get ready for the market.
Also, the members of the mission expressed their intention to work with the ministry going forward.
The meeting ended with both parties agreeing to collaborate on all technological aspects, policy advisory, and capacity building.
