About MICT
The Ministry was established in 1993 under the name Ministry of Communication and Post. Over the years, the institution has undergone significant transformation to meet the evolving communication and technological needs of Somaliland. Following the integration of technology into its mandate, the Ministry was officially renamed the Ministry of Communications and Technology (MICT) under Official Gazette Legislation No. 01/2018.
